DJ set with Micachu and Matthew Herbert
Mica Levi, better known as Micachu, is one of London's most talented emerging songwriters. We were mesmerised by her mix of grime vocals, digitronics and skillful composition. The V&A was pleased to feature a rare appearance by avant-garde alchemist of sound Matthew Herbert. DJ, composer and conceptualist, Herbert fuses jazz, dance music, politics and creative concepts with inimitable energy.
Beauties and Beasts
Are fairytales fiction? Are “true” stories reality? The connection between fairytales and “true” stories were discoverd as designer and illustrator Alexandra Antonopoulou helped create different stories with the Beauties and Beasts book .

Cornelia Parker - Inspired By
Artist Cornelia Parker transformed ordinary objects into something compelling and extraordinary. Her controversial work , Breathless, commissioned by the V&A, used instruments from a brass band to form a spectacular sculpture suspended in mid-air. She discusses the ideas and inspiration behind her work with Ossian Ward, visual arts critic for Time Out.

Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma, author of Checked Baggage, was be in conversation with photographic books expert Patrizia di Bello. Rare insights into the thought processes of crafting an artist's book were moderated by Senior Curator Martin Barnes.
Poetry readings
Set in the stunning surrounds of the NAL, thoughtful Show & Tell poetry readings by essayist Harry Gilonis and art publisher & critic John Bevis were performed.

Held on the last Friday in every month (except December) when the Museum is open from 10.00 to 22.00 with Friday Late events starting at 18.30.
