In September Friday Late went on the road with Friday Late Create at the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green E2.
On 21 September Friday Late Create was a night dedicated to all things creative, playful and imaginative.

  • Friday Late Create - 21 September, V&A Museum of Childhood E2

    An unmissable event, Friday Late went East, leaving the V&A South Kensington for a special night of entertainment at the Museum of Childhood. Coinciding with the London Design Festival this was an event that explores the playful side of design.

    You could along a once loved design object and swap it for someone else's design desirables with Ed Carpenter and Andre Klauser's Friday Late Design Swap Shop.

    Contributions were made to the evolution of a playscape with Richard Shed and Sam Johnson.

    Fierce, friendly and fuzzy beasts were produced in a craft workshop with Donna Wilson.

    Inspired and recycled rubbish was made into toys and designer objects with Renzo Laporta.

    Daniel Brown presented his interactrive web and computer programmes.

    Friday Late Debate - 28 September, V&A Museum SW7

    The V&A presented Friday Late Debate, a night of discussion, dialogue and debate on key issues in design. Have your say in a thoughtful night of ideas and arguments.

    Design: conspicuous consumption or ethical responsibility?
    Professor Anthony Dunne, Max Fraser, Sam Hect and Justin McGuirk joined Curator Gareth Williams to debate the real purpose of design.

    Friday Late's speakers corner was refereed by Mark Pawson .

    Contribution were made to a wall of thoughts with Multistory

    Designers, curators and artists discussed topical themes in Friday Late's 'Headspace Lounge' .
