Having the studio open to the public has changed my working process and I have laid the space out to engage the public in an educational way. There are my test pieces and samples of metalworking processes and the visual record of my own work is on the wall with the tests and experiments I am doing now. I also have prototypes of projects I will be doing with schools and projects for families (more...
I enjoy the visits I have had from current and past students of Edinburgh College of Art, many have popped in over the four months to see what I am up to and I am expecting a group to visit next week when they travel down to see the Craft Council organised London Craft Fair Origin at Somerset House. A number were selected to show their work in the exhibition Roar in the Oxo tower gallery a few...

The paper bangle is strong and looks interestingly three dimensional on the arm. OutsaPop The zips piece is dramatic and looks...
I find I am still at the stage of absorbing things with the eye of an outsider. I am excited by the impact of buildings, spaces, humans and how they order themselves around the stage that is London. What effect this will all have on me is difficult to say but right now it is very stimulating although I miss my family in Edinburgh and spend a lot of time in train stations, my favourite so far is...
