»well worth the drive

I saw "Hollywood Costumes" exhibit at The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA, US, a six hour drive from my home near Asheville, NC, US. Seeing the fabric on manikins was thrilling, especially the shell cape for Queen Elizabeth, but the insight into the minds of the designer, director, and actors, and the colloquy between them, was the true "take-away." The static placards quoting the artists were good, but the dynamic video & CG displays made the ideas leap across the "velvet ropes" and into play in my mind. Thank you! —Rob Storrs, rstorrs1@icloud.com
