The Geometry of Pasta

The Geometry of Pasta

As every Italian knows, there are rules about which type of pasta goes with which sauce. The Geometry of Pasta by Caz Hildebrand and Jacob Kenedy explains the secret of making the perfect pasta with the perfect sauce. Throughout its pages, the striking black and white illustrations show (at actual size) some of the hundreds of pasta shapes available, highlighting their geometry and suitability for each sauce. The images also help with recognition and allow the reader to compare the shapes. Each shape has its dimensions, synonyms and a brief history along with the sauce recipes. The graphic style was the simplest way to demonstrate the characteristics of each pasta and once you understand a basic pasta shape, it’s easy to see how it will hold a certain sauce.
