Born Fighting

Born Fighting

The Brief: to create a short narrative which responds to the theme 'panic'.

"An entire generation of children in Afghanistan has grown up amidst armed conflict. 30 years of instability and decades of exposure to violence has meant they know no else, but a life trapped in perpetual fighting."

Using symbolic devices Born Fighting is a politically poetic narrative which communicates the cyclical nature of conflict in Afghanistan and the impact this has on its children. Set in a war torn town, gun fire is heard. A young woman is seen firing a bullet; in it two fighters are born. Very quickly the guns, the bullets and fighters multiply and fighting perpetuates.
