Depicting the Natural Environment in a series of Large-scale Drawings

Depicting the Natural Environment in a series of Large-scale Drawings

Depicting the natural environment in a series of large scale landscape drawings. I chose to focus on this as a subject matter because I feel I have a strong relationship to the landscape through the places I have been and growing up rock climbing. I love being outside in beautiful, vast landscapes because they offer a sense of perspective which may have something to do with the scale of yourself within the surroundings. I decided to work on such a large scale because I wanted to reflect this sense of perspective in my work and to confront people with something much larger than themselves.

Most of my pieces average about 2 metres by 1.5 metres, please have a look through my website for more examples of my work www.tessalyons.co.uk
