This illustration was for a previous University 'Book Cover' project. From the brief I choose the title 'Glass Houses', which was a made up title. From extensive brainstorming I came up with the idea of surveillance taking over, and someone's actions always being watched. The image shows an intimidating figure as the doorframe's negative space, who is looking down at the figure running away. Which is subtly hinting the books content of a crime/thriller novel. A combination of medium has been used, linocut, drawing, collage and then scanned and edited in Photoshop.
