The Tobacconist

The Tobacconist:

An A3 digital print of my depiction of the scene.
This is a scene from Albert Camus book 'The Outsider'. The scene is where Mersault is looking off the balcony where he is often found smoking a cigarette and having a glass of wine. The scene describes the quietness of the street and the tobacconist and the cafe opposite.

The Distance Between:

A screenprint for a international print competition. The brief was simply to produce a piece of artwork that has been printed using print making methods. Inspired from the Roald Dahl book 'James and the Giant Peach'. I thought it was quite apt as is reflects the migration of birds between the countries the work was to be exhibited.

A brief set by myself for a university project. It was to illustrate a scene from a children's book. The scene has a relaxed and cosy feel with an unexpected sinister twist.
