Whiskery History

These images are spreads from a book created for my final degree project. I set myself the brief of producing a learning resource to be used in primary schools, aimed specifically at educating 9-10 year olds on certain historical figures. This idea came about from a new story that young people thought the Queen invented the telephone, and from my own questionnaire based research carried out in a local school. The learning resource manifested itself in the form of an A-Z book, with the 26 figures featured all being linked by their distinctive facial hair, each one's beard or moustache bearing a resemblance to the corresponding initial letter of their name. Each spread includes a catchy limerick to help the young readers remember what the various hairy individuals were famed for!
