The Lost Scenes of Kong

The Lost Scenes of Kong

This project revolves around the lost footage from the original release of King Kong in 1933. Merian C Cooper, the films Director, cut 25 minutes of footage for unknown reasons, from the film, most likely due to pacing. The original concept art and some stills remain and it was the unknown nature of these scenes that inspired me into creating this series of images. Illustrated for a book format.
