Talking Underwater with a Mouthful of Cement

Talking Underwater with a Mouthful of Cement

The body of work 'Talking Underwater With a Mouthful of Cement' is a dark humored attempt to explore commonalities of depressed and distressed states of mind.
The sequence of print images 'Flats' are from a silhouetted, stop-motion animation where a figure struggles to break free of a concrete block of flats, creating slapstick and surreal scenarios. The sequence called 'Sleep' is a type of macabre dance through the restless movements of Insomnia.
The work starts with roughly cut silhouettes , photographed on a light box.
