Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

To celebrate the bicentenary of the publication of Jane Austen’s most famous novel Pride and Prejudice, published in 1813, we have illustrated the luxury edition for the Folio Society Publisher. We have contributed eight illustrations to this edition, as well as a cover design. Regarding these three images, we have chosen a romantic interpretation of nature. The movement of the trees, the wind, the colors, the lights and shadows of the landscape reflect the state of mind of Elizabeth. We use art and painting as references for our artworks and our painting technique: acrylic and digital. Our visible brush strokes are handmade, no digital. You can see all illustrations of the book on our website, painterly section:
