Dutch Courage

Dutch Courage

To create an image that illustrates a question in the Q&A section of BBC History Magazine.
This question asks where the term 'Dutch Courage' came from. The answer described that it came from the fact that some troops used gin (which was invented by a Dutchman) to bolster their courage before a battle.
I took the soldiers and costume from the Napoleanic wars mentioned in the copy and thought it would be fun having them drinking in and outside of a pub before battle. I thought some gin and tonics and cocktails would give a funny extra twist.
