Penelope Waiting

Penelope Waiting

Submitted are a series of images responding to the classical tale 'Homer's Odyssey' and particularly Odysseus' estranged wife Penelope- who while loyally waiting for her husband to return from the trojan war- thinks up creative ways to withstand pressure on her to choose a new suitor. She pledges to decide when she has finished weaving a tapestry, but returns to it each to unravel her work.
