Come see our ceramics artist during Open Studio

On Saturday we held our first open studio for our ceramics artist in resident, Nao Mastunaga. Nao has been searching the collections and gathering inspiration to create works that look into otherworldly ideas surrounding mythical animals and their physical representations. He has been working on sketches on paper and in clay which whilst being standalone pieces also echo one another with the ideas Nao is focusing on. You can see from our post last week that there has been some progress and some new pieces up on the walls. His work is developing steadily after only a short time in the studio and you can come see him in action during his open studio dates, the next being tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd April from 13.00 to 16.00.
