We’re pleased to announce that we have appointed three new residents who will start at the Museum on 1 April this year.
Nao Matsunaga: Ceramics Resident
Nao will be taking over the ceramics studio on level 6 from 1 April until the end of September 2014. He will be looking at different methods of abstraction and other-worldliness in the collections. Nao recently won the British Ceramics Biennial Award.

Liam O’Connor: Exhibition Road Drawing Resident
As part of the Exhibition Road building project, we will be hosting three part-time, year-long residencies between now and 2017 where practitioners will engage with and document the progress of the build. The first of these is a drawing residency and Liam will be with us for two days a week, in one of the Sackler Centre studios, from April this year until the end of March 2015. Liam is experienced in this type of drawing work, having spent time recently at the British Museum’s building project.

It will be great to see what our new residents create during their time here, and we will of course keep you updated on our residencies blog.
