The Tower of Babel – Work in Progress

Big day!  I have finally finished all the Photoshop and layout of the transfers to be applied to the bone china shops.  Over 1700 man hours spent manipulating the photographs and then laying out onto sheets like the ones below.  I match different sides of buildings to the shop fronts.  These go to a special printers up in Stoke-on-Trent who print the sheets using a chemical ink.  These get cut out, put into water and the transfer slides off.  Much like the transfers you get in Airfix models.  Once applied to the shops they are once again fired in the kiln so the colour sinks into the glaze and is permanent.  Now onto the mother of all spreadsheets…..
