Redheads

November 9, 2008

I have been very fortunate to find the perfect red head models near at hand. The reader may have already noticed Cara and Emma and now Dorothee also from the V&A and Madeleine from the Crafts Council have modelled the spoons necklaces.

This has saved me from a lot of embarrassment, as I do not have to approach red heads in the street and ask them to model! I have had very interesting conversations with red heads at the museum, on my train journeys north and south and on the tube.

When I was teaching both in schools and art colleges I always noticed how red haired people responded to colour choices. They often seemed to have a more sophisticated approach, this has been borne out in the conversations I have had recently with red heads, I plan to develop this theme later.
