Do you want to learn the secrets of the Willow Pattern, be transported into a magical fairy-tale world or dress up and dance like 80’s pop star Adam Ant?

This winter and spring we have a number of British Sign Language Interpreted (BSL) interactive performances for families as part of our regular Saturday’s Pop up Performance programme and our dedicated holiday offer.

Our interpreter Matt, from Deaf Umbrella, will join our team of performers, to enhance the experience for everyone.

Why not make a family day of it and explore the rest of the museum while you’re here. We have back-packs and trails you can pick up to help you discover all the curious and wonderful things we have at the Museum. There are also dedicated hands-on exhibits in the galleries.

Here’s the list of the BSL performances coming up on Thursday 19 February, Wednesday 8 and Saturday 25 April and Thursday 28 May.

Performances are at 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00

Thursday 19 February: The Willow Pattern
Location: Lecture Theatre, Level 4

Solve the puzzle of the Willow Pattern, a famous blue and white ceramic print, in this interactive performance created by Tea Dance for Little People. Discover the secret stories behind the design and come with us on an adventure.
