Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki returns to London #BarbaraOnTour

September 23, 2014

It began with a show-stopping sold out talk at the V&A with Barbara in conversation with Harper’s Bazaar’s Justine Picardie…

Then the South West beckoned and it was to Bath Barbara went, before Brighton and the suitably royal setting of the Pavilion.

Back to London to the buzz of Fashion Week, visiting editor of ELLE Lorraine Candy in the ELLE Fashion Cupboard,

…and an eventful Friday night at London College of Fashion with Dame Zandra Rhodes,

…followed by a true detective style morning behind-the-scenes at #LFW14 where Barbara executed a beautiful illustration for the London Fashion Week Daily of Trager Delaney‘s new season’s pieces.

… Did I mention the few radio shows thrown in between?…. There was BBC Woman’s Hour, BBC Scotland and the Jo Good Show!

So it was with one lost voice, one tube of Berocca, 1000 signed copies of The Biba Years, and tons of fun later… that we finally bid farewell for now to a true design legend and author of two V&A books The Biba Years: 1963 – 1975 and From A to Biba: The autobiography of Barbara Hulanicki
