Quilts 1700-2010: the trailer
This short film of Natasha Kerr at work in her east London studio reveals how contemporary artists are evolving and developing the quilting tradition today
This trailer for the Quilts exhibition at the V&A shows Natasha Kerr at work on a piece purchased by the V&A for the exhibition.
Trained as a textile designer Kerr is not strictly a quilter. Her mixed media pieces involve painting, sewing, found photographs and other emphemera and explore the power of memory and personal history to create distinctly unusual modern family heirlooms.
