On 1 July 2011 Fashion in Motion, a series of free catwalk shows, featured both menswear and womenswear pieces from the archive of Yohji Yamamoto. Celebrating the designer’s major retrospective that was displayed at the V&A, the show was modelled by real-life London couples.

The concept echoed the designer’s Spring/Summer 1999 menswear show, which was modelled by real couples from the streets of Paris.
