Forever

This installation has now finished

Forever was a generative audio-visual installation created by Universal Everything. During the winter of 2008, the V&A John Madejski Garden came alive with a digital commission by Universal Everything, a multidisciplinary design studio founded by creative director Matt Pyke in 2004.

Forever was a large video wall installation of endless animations responding to an ever-changing soundtrack. The bespoke generative design system at the heart of Forever did, and still could, spawn unique audio-visual films every day, forever.

A live online installation, generating an endless series of downloadable video podcasts coincided with the display, which opened on 21 November 2008.

Working with a wide range of media from pencils to generative design, Universal Everything is a UK-based studio at the crossover between art and design. The studio operates as an evergrowing  global network of designers, artists, musicians, producers and programmers. Each of Universal Everything's project is conceived by a specifically appointed team.
