The Groups Team
The V&A has a small, friendly and experienced Groups Team dedicated to arranging private group visits.
Private tours and talks
There are 4 options to choose from:
- Set tour - choose from 11 popular tours of the permanent collections
- Tailor made - tours devised specifically for special interest groups
- Exhibition related - a tour or talk relating to a major V&A exhibition
- Behind the scenes - visit the National Art Library
Days and times
Private tours can take place during normal opening hours:
10.00-17.45 seven days a week.
Private talks can take place Monday to Friday during normal opening hours.
We are open every day of the year except 24-26 December.
It is usually possible to give tours concurrently if required.
Familiarisation visits
Group organisers are welcome to make an appointment to come and meet a member of the Groups Team at the V&A, to discuss details of the visit and familiarise themselves with the venue: bookings.office@vam.ac.uk or call 020 7942 2211
How to find the V&A
The V&A is easily reached via the following forms of transport:
By road
Cromwell Road is the main A4 route into London from the West
By London Underground
Five minutes from South Kensington Tube Station (Piccadilly, District and Circle lines)
By bus
Buses C1, 14, 74 and 414 stop outside the Cromwell Road entrance. The Open Tour stop outside the Museum as part of their Double Decker Bus site-seeing tour of London
By foot
Just ten minutes walk from Harrods, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park
Coach parking
There is a coach drop-off point in Exhibition Road and outside the Museum on Cromwell Road. The nearest coach parks are located at Warwick Road, Bayswater Road and Park Lane
Car parking
For cars, there are meters on Exhibition Road. Orange badge parking bays are directly outside the Exhibition Road entrance
Access for visitors with disabilities
The majority of the Museum is accessible for wheelchair users. There are also facilities for visitors who are visually or hearing impaired.
