Development of the central hall shop, 2006
In March 2006, the Central Hall was transformed into the main Museum shop. The floor was raised to match the level of the new entrance steps and Dome area, and at the southern end a gentle ramp and steps led visitors to the garden and perimeter galleries. The thoroughfare to the garden was flanked by glass cases.
Designer
The shop was designed by Eva Jiricna Architects Limited (EJAL) an architectural and design practice based in London.
