Fashion and style have been central to the V&A since the very beginning. The museum's collection includes dress from the 17th century right up to the present day, with an emphasis on progressive, influential design.

Many of today's most important designers - Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Erdem, Yohji Yamamoto and others - continue to find inspiration in the V&A Collections, while the V&A Shop provides a constantlly changing showcase for exclusive collaborations with both established and emerging names.

Our new Autumn/Winter 2011 collection includes collaborations with Louise Gray, Memphis, Annie Lennox and Lily & Lionel.
