Friday evenings at the V&A
The V&A is open until 22.00 every Friday night.
Come and visit our major exhibitions and galleries, enjoy a drink with a friend or take part in a range of evening talks, themed tours and music events. The last Friday of the month is Friday Late, our contemporary event night.
Music
A special DJ set welcomes you at the Grand Entrance. World beats and a cocktail bar accompany the start of your visit and create the perfect atmosphere to start a special evening.
Enjoy more live music on selected Fridays. Bands featuring jazz, soul and blues add to the ambience of the café rooms designed by Williams Morris and his contemporaries. During the summer season events may take place in the John Madejski Garden.

Nigerian Folk meets Jazz

Join us for a concert by Femi Temowo and hear pieces from his new exciting work ‘Orin Meta’. Drawing on the music culture of the early West African Yoruba people, Femi brings together Nigerian traditional sounds with aspects of jazz in a way that is slick and inspiring.
Norfolk House Music Room Concerts
Free concerts by musicians from the Royal College of Music are performed on selected Friday evenings in the beautiful setting of the Norfolk Houise Music room from 18.30 - 19.30.
Talks
Evening talks by speakers from the world of art, design and culture last approximately 60 minutes.
Tours
Free themed tours start from the Meeting Point at the Grand Entrance.
