Public photography or filming

Members of the public are allowed to take photographs and film within the V&A for personal use (not temporary exhibitions) with a hand-held camera. In exceptional circumstances us of a tripod and other equipment may be permitted but must be arranged in advance.

Any footage or photography taken in the V&A intended for any commercial purpose must be agreed in advance with the V&A in writing.

Application form

To help us deal with your filming request efficiently please download a filming application form and email the completed form to press.office@vam.ac.uk or vanda.images@vam.ac.uk.

Filming requests will not be considered without a completed form.

All filming and press photography within the Museum must be supervised by a trained member of V&A staff. To allow us enough time to make the necessary arrangements, filming and photography requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the proposed date, where possible.

Filming & photography terms & conditions

Once filming has been agreed the production company will be asked to sign the V&A's Filming Terms & Conditions.
