Room 67: British Silver, 1800 to early 1900s

Room 67 contains a wide range of silver from the 1800s through to the early 1900s. The objects on display here have been grouped according to different themes, styles and techniques. These include alteration and faking, colour and surface treatment, royal patronage, grand display plate, dining in style, lighting and writing, exhibition pieces, early 20th-century tableware and Victorian dining silver. The Silver galleries include more than 3,500 objects from medieval times to the present day, including pieces by some of the world's most celebrated goldsmiths.
Room 67 is on Level 3 of the V&A South Kensington.
