Room 138: Ceramics Study Galleries Britain
Dish, Ralph Simpson, 1710-1719. Museum no. C.125-1938
The Harry and Carol Djanogly Gallery
The Ceramic Study Galleries house the greater part of the V&A’s ceramics collection. In this room you will find British pottery made before 1800. Introductory displays in the inner ring of cases are arranged by technique, date and place of origin. The visible storage display in the outer ring of cases contains the bulk of the collection, arranged according to the same principles as the inner cases.
Room 138 is on Level 6 of the V&A South Kensington.

Objects you can find in this gallery:A gift in your will
You may not have thought of including a gift to a museum in your will, but the V&A is a charity and legacies form an important source of funding for our work. It is not just the great collectors and the wealthy who leave legacies to the V&A. Legacies of all sizes, large and small, make a real difference to what we can do and your support can help ensure that future generations enjoy the V&A as much as you have.
