The Europe and America 1800-1900 Gallery includes furniture, ceramics, glass, paintings, posters, books, metalwork and sculpture from throughout the 19th century. The industrial age saw the flowering of international trade and many of the objects in the gallery were first shown at the great international exhibitions in the later part of the century. Highlights include a magnificent and massive Gothic Revival bookcase shown by Carl Leistler & Sons at the Great Exhibition in 1851 (later owned by Queen Victoria), Henri Fantin-Latour's painting, Nasturtiums, of 1880 and objects shown at the International Exhibition in Paris in 1900.

Room 101 is on Level 3 of the V&A South Kensington.
