Room 102: Lord Leighton's Frescoes
Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830-96), 'The Industrial Arts as Applied to War', Museum no. 296-1907
Commissioned as part of the decoration of the new Museum in 1868 from the famous Victorian painter Frederic, Lord Leighton, these frescoes depict the "Arts of Industry as applied to War" and "...to Peace." Also on display are first sketches and full-size cartoons.
Room 102 is on Level 3 of the V&A South Kensington.
