Redevelopment of the women's lavatories, 2009
The Grand Entrance lavatories are beautifully designed, stylish and elegant, as well as being a comfortable and well-considered facility. In 2009 the entrance to the lavatories was reconfigured and the ceiling height raised to make them more spacious.
The finished design included an installation by Swiss artist, Felice Varini , whose perspective specific work Six Circles in Disorder was installed in February 2009.
Designer
The V&A appointed Glowacka Rennie Architects, a London practice founded in 2004, to redesign the main entrance lavatories.
