The Story of the Judgement of Paris

Designers frequently used Classical literature as a source for designs and cabinets offered plenty of scope for symbolic decoration. The Greek godess Juno appears in the centre of this cabinet with her emblem, the peacock. Her story is told in the audio below. The colour scheme of black, white and terracotta was based on classical vases.
