V&A & Crafts Council partnership

The V&A and the Crafts Council have always shared a common interest in displaying work of the highest quality and have now embarked on an exciting new partnership. Working collaboratively, the V&A and the Crafts Council will present a programme of contemporary crafts activities which will play a key role in bringing contemporary craft to a much wider audience.
The programme will include a co-organised triennial exhibition of contemporary craft, the first of which will open at the V&A in Autumn 2007. This series of exhibitions will set out to challenge perceptions about craft, and will feature both British and international makers. The partnership will also support an annual craft residency in the V&A's new Sackler Centre and will continue to develop and enhance the display of craft across the Museum.
These initiatives, together with the continuing presence of the Crafts Council in the V&A shop will continue to ensure that the V&A remains the best contemporary crafts showcase in London.
