The V&A iPad Guide to The Cult of Beauty exhibition - Cult of Beauty HD - gives you the maximum amount of space to admire key, beautiful objects from our latest exhibition. In the V&A'S first iPad app you can enjoy the work of important artists such as William Morris, Edward Burne-Jones, Edward Godwin and Aubrey Beardsley. The iPad app also contains the Audioguide to the Exhibition, beautifully narrated by Rupert Everett, for you to enjoy wherever you are in the world.

The exhibition celebrates the Aesthetic movement of 1860-1900 which aimed to escape the ugliness and materialism of the Victorian era - by creating a new kind of art and beauty. Explore how Aesthetic artists, designers, poets and collectors promoted the idea of 'art for art's sake' and how the idea of the 'house beautiful' became a touchstone of cultured life.

Other features of our first iPad guide include a Walking Tour of Aesthetic Chelsea voiced actors from performance group LiveCanon. Take a virtual stroll of an exclusive part of London, from Cheyne Walk, along London’s Embankment to finish at Oscar Wilde’s house 34 Tite Street. The Walking Tour features exclusive maps and photographs of the area and the iPad gives you space to enjoy these. You can also enjoy performances of poems from the period by Algernon Swinburne, William Morris and the Rossettis. Ten additional Aesthetic objects from the V&A are also featured, as well as three Audiographs of key Aesthetic Women - poet Elizabeth Siddal, model Jane Morris and actress Ellen Terry.
