The collections of the Whitworth Art Gallery, which is part of the University of Manchester, include prints, drawings, watercolours, modern art and sculpture as well as large collections of textiles and wallpapers.

The site of the Print Council of America provides access to an online edition of The Print Council Index to Oeuvre-Catalogues of Prints by European and American Artists by Timothy A. Riggs, expanded and updated by Lauren B. Hewes, an index to catalogues raisonnés or oeuvre catalogues of European and American artists which also functions as an index to Bartsch, Hollstein and many of the other standard reference works in the field. The site also provides useful content on how to care for prints, establishing authenticity and determining market value.

Site includes details of the reference collections relating to British portraiture comprising 220,000 photographs, and 80,000 prints and drawings held in the Heinz Archive & Library which are now searchable online
