Trainer Confidentials - Alex Nash
My name's Alex Nash. I customise shoes on a different level to what people usually interpret as customising. I just got a needle and thread to bring kind of like something a bit more formal to a casual meeting point. It's something I can do at home, I can just add like another Nike logo, or another dollar bill logo, trinkets, jade, leathers, and all these things kind of make it look manufactured professionally. You hear a lot of people 'I want to start my own clothing company' or 'I want to start my own t-shirt company' but me to do that would be strictly impossible, and then obviously not having the money to produce my own shoe the next best thing was to start tinkering with stuff at home. The first shoe I did was moccassin stitch, and the next shoe that I do was applique of fabrics, like changing of the tongue, changing of a couple of panels - and with every custom I think I've kind of progressed in my style and learnt new skills in what I do.
