The Victoria and Albert Museum is located at Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL
In January 2010, work began to improve Exhibition Road streetscape as part of a project to make Exhibition Road more accessible to the 11.5 million visitors that visit the area each year. Works will be completed in December 2011. You can travel to the museum in a number of easy ways:
By public transport
London Underground (The Tube): The V&A is a five minute walk from South Kensington underground station (on the Piccadilly, Circle and District Line). South Kensington is a five minute tube journey from Victoria, ten minutes from Covent Garden and Leicester Square and 15 minutes from King's Cross St Pancras.
The V&A is a ten minute walk from Knightsbridge underground station (on the Piccadilly Line). Knightsbridge is a ten minute tube journey from Covent Garden and Leicester Square and 15 minutes from Kings Cross St Pancras.
Bus: Buses C1, 14, 74 and 414 stop outside the Cromwell Road entrance. The Open Tour stop outside the Museum as part of their Double Decker Bus site-seeing tour of London.

By bicycle
The V&A is a couple of minutes ride via Exhibition Road from the cycle paths in Hyde Park. Cycle parking is available at Cromwell Gardens immediately to the right of the Grand Entrance. In the Museum there is also a cloakroom for your cycle gear. Find out more from Transport for London.
By foot
The V&A is ten minute walk from Harrods, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park. If coming from South Kensington Station, take the underground tunnel and follow the directions to the Museums. The V&A entrance will be the second on your right.
Travelling by road
By road Cromwell Road is the main A4 route into London from the West.
By coach
Due to road redevelopment, the coach pick-up and drop-off point on Exhibition Road is severely restricted. Coach drivers are strongly advised to use the coach pick-up and drop-off points on the north side of Cromwell Road in front of the Natural History Museum.
New coach pick-up and drop-off facilities have been introduced on the southeast corner of Queen's Gate (which runs parallel to Exhibition Road). Alternative coach drop-off points include outside the V&A on Cromwell Road and on Kensington Gore between the Royal Albert Hall and Royal College of Art.
The nearest coach parks are located at Warwick Road, Bayswater Road and Park Lane.
Car parking
Due to the works on Exhibition Road, the meters and Blue badge parking bays directly outside the Exhibition Road entrance are not in use. Find out about alternative car parking near the V&A .
