Decoration
Technique: embroidery and appliqué, printing
Materials: silver and copper-gilt thread over parchment, with silver strip, silver spangles, foils and blue paste
Design: the embroidery is in the shape of a crowned heart encircling a double-headed bird. On either side of the heart are a tulip, a pansy and a rose. The printed cotton bears a repeating motif of leaf and flower in green, yellow, pink and orange.
Location: The embroidery is on the front, the printed motifs on the back.
