'Bruce Bay
Our favourite beach on the West coast of the South Island; huge and deserted, except for stones and driftwood. Crashing seas and soft sand, enclosed at both ends by elegant Rimu trees.  We were all inspired to create things here: stones on driftwood and other sculptures. But most of the time we found ourselves gawping open mouthed at the unadulterated splendour of the place.'
