This drawing of Islamic decoration by the art historian and teacher Ralph Wornum was taken directly from Owen Jones's studies of the Alhambra. Wornum used it in lectures at government design schools all over the country. He also encouraged his students to visit Jones's re-creation of the Alhambra at the Sydenham Crystal Palace.
