'Knitwit necklaces are made from the odd, discarded knitting needles mainly collected from charity stores. I have an interest in the domestic environment and tend to use Tupperware, children's toys, and knitting needles, for example. There is also a love of colour and plastic. I enjoy giving new life to something thrown away and unappreciated, by turning it into something new, unexpected and fun. Most materials I use are recycled because I am drawn to materials that have a history, and have lived another life.'
