'I prefer to work with non-traditional materials. To many people, if it is not gold, silver or a gemstone it is not jewellery. As you can see from my work I do not subscribe to that philosophy.'

'The pin is constructed from components from a wind-up alarm clock. The pieces are mounted on a piece of burnished brass which is then affixed to a piece of sandblasted brass. My motivation for this piece was that I felt that it might be an appropriate pin for someone with boundless energy. Copper rivets were used to assemble the piece.'
