Wallpapers were a key part of Jones's design output. He produced designs for most of the key wallpaper manufacturers of the time, and through them reached a huge audience. By decorating the wall spaces of the discerning middle classes, Jones was able to introduce his design theories to a wider public, beyond the design community.
