This glassware showroom was over 30 metres long. Jones also used large mirrors to create an illusion of even greater space. The geometric arrangement of star motifs in the stained-glass roof was reminiscent of Islamic architecture. The gas burners, suspended from a great height, might have been inspired by the hanging lamp system in the mosques of Istanbul.
