Originally given the name International Textiles, The Ambassador Magazine played a vital part in promoting British exports in the aftermath of the Second World War. Renowned for its innovative design, the magazine worked with contemporary artists such as John Piper and Henry Moore. Senior curator Claire Wilcox will draw on the V&A’s extensive collection of issues of The Ambassador Magazine to tell Members more about its success and how it promoted art, textiles and fashion.
