With its origins dating back to 1179, WestminsterSchool began life as a small charity school run by the Benedictine Monks of Westminster Abbey. It received Royal Patronage from Elizabeth I in 1560 confirming it as one of the oldest schools in the country, and has since accumulated impressive alumni including Christopher Wren, Henry Purcell, Sir Peter Ustinov, Tony Benn and Nick Clegg. Members will be given a private tour, incorporating some of the oldest school buildings and furniture dating back to the fourteenth century.
