Baroque 1620 – 1800: Style in the Age of Magnificence at the National Trust
The National Trust has loaned a number of items to Baroque 1620 – 1800: Style in the Age of Magnificence, including a unique set of silver bedroom furniture from Knole in Kent and The Vyne in Hampshire, among the few surviving masterpieces in the Stuart baroque style, and an Italian, gem encrusted casket, thought to have been purchased in Italy by John Chute, owner of The Vyne in Hampshire, during his Grand Tour in the 1740’s.
To celebrate the exhibition, the V&A and the National Trust are offering Baroque 1620 – 1800: Style in the Age of Magnificence ticket holders 2 for 1 entry to selected National Trust properties. In addition, the National Trust will offer visitors to selected properties '2 for 1' entry to the V&A exhibition.
